Barbara Jane (Causey) Morton, age 80, of Manchester, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at Bailey Manor in Manchester. Ms. Morton was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Loris, South Carolina to the late Mr. Nathan Causey and Mrs. M.E. Causey (Milligan). Barbara enjoyed life as a humble servant to God and to others, always helping and caring for those in need in any way she could. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Morton and additional family members. Ms. Morton is survived by her daughters, Joyce Crites and April Brown; sons, James Byron Morton and Roger Morton; and many grandchildren and extended family members. Visitation for Ms. Morton was on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. A chapel service immediately followed the visitation on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church youth and children’s ministries.
