Coffee Middle splits Rockvale

On Tuesday night, the Coffee Middle Lady Raiders rolled to another win while the Red Raiders lost a close one to Rockvale.
The Lady Raiders had yet another fantastic performance, this time against the Rockvale Lady Ravens.
Coffee won by a score of 51-19 for their 11th straight win of the season.
Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Hayleigh Harris with 14 points, Addalyn Clark with 12 points, Jenslee Nogodula with eight points, Brylyn McAdams with six points, Avery and Kinsley Pruitt with four points each, Harper Crosslin with two points and Isabelle Saner with one point.
Meanwhile, the Red Raiders played a tough game, but couldn’t overcome the Rockvale Ravens.
The first quarter was a low-scoring one, as Coffee County led 3-2.
Offense picked up in the second, where Rockvale outscored the Red Raiders 12-6 for a 14-9 halftime lead.
The Red Raiders tried to stay with the Ravens, but Rockvale outscored Coffee 10-9 in the third quarter and the Ravens led 24-18 heading into the fourth.
Coffee would score 15 points in the fourth, but the Ravens scored 14 more of their own, and held on to beat the Red Raiders, 38-33.
Scoring for the Red Raiders were Jaxson Pruitt with 12 points, Warren Simmons with 11 points, Landyn Stiefel with six points, Ethan Arnold with three points, Jerrad Morgan with one points.
Next up for Coffee Middle Basketball will be a road game at Harris Middle School on Thursday, Nov. 30.
