Coffee Middle sweeps West Bobcats

On Monday night, the Lady Raiders and Red Raiders both won over Tullahoma West.

The Lady Raiders added another victory to their gauntlet of wins this season with a 23-point win over the Tullahoma West Lady Bobcats, 48-25.

“It was a good team victory,” said Coach David Vinson. “West is the second place team in our conference, so it was a nice win.” 

Scoring for the Lady Raiders were Addalyn Clark with 14 points, Avery Pruitt with nine points, Hayleigh Harris and Jenslee Nogodula with eight points each, Isabelle Saner with six points and Harper Crosslin with three points.

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders are now 13-0 on the year.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders also took care of business.

The Bobcats would pull out in front at the start, leading 7-6 after the first, but the Red Raiders outscored West 5-2 in the second quarter for an 11-9 halftime lead. 

The Red Raiders would take control of the game in the third, blanking the Bobcats 12-0 as they led 23-9 heading into the fourth.

The Bobcats would respond with a 16-point fourth quarter, but it wouldn’t be enough to topple the Red Raiders, who scored nine in the final frame to win the game, 32-25.

Scoring for the red Raiders were Jaxon Pruitt with 10 points, Jerrad Morgan with eight points, Jude Golebiewski with six points, Ryan Abellana with four points, Ethan Arnold with three points and Warren Simmons with one point.

The Red Raiders are now 6-7 on the season.

Coffee Middle Basketball will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Rockvale.
