On Thursday, the Westwood Rockets defeated the Eagleville Eagles in the DRVC Tournament Semi-Finals and will play Community in the Championship Game.

The Rockets have had their fare share of dominant performances this season, but tonight they had to claw their way past Eagleville.

In the first quarter, the Rockets outscored Eagleville 11-5, but the host Eagles fought back in the second quarter as Westwood led by a thread, 19-17 at the half.

Westwood outscored Eagleville 9-5 in the third quarter and led 28-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Rockets could only manage another four points in the final frame, but still held on to win, 32-27.

Scoring for the Rockets were Mason Troxler with eight points, Zeke Jones and Caleb Hill with seven points each, Isaiah Buchanan with five points, Kaden Ingle with four points and Brady Christian with one point.

Westwood will play in the DRVC Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 4:00 pm at Eagleville, and they will be pitted against the Community Vikings.

The Vikings defeated Cascade in their Semi-Final matchup, 41-39 in overtime.
