Coffee Middle dominates in Winchester

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders are now one win away from a perfect regular season while the Red Raiders secured a second place finish as both teams beat North Middle School on Monday night.
It was another dominant performance by the Lady Raiders, as they defeated the North Gatorettes 52-11.
Leading the way for Coffee was Kinsley Pruitt, who scored 15 points after going 5/5 from the three point line.
“Our defense was stout again tonight,” said Coach David Vinson. “I feel like we also shot the ball better from the perimeter tonight than we had previously.”
Also scoring for the Lady Raiders were Addalyn Clark with 15 points, Hayleigh Harris with 10 points, Jenslee Nogodula with eight points and Isabelle Saner and Maddi Scott with two points each.
The Lady Raiders are 19-0 with one game left in the regular season.
On the other side, the Red Raiders locked up a second place conference finish after beating the Gators.
The Red Raiders led at the start, outscoring the Gators 10-4 in the first quarter before leading at halftime, 19-10.
It was a back and forth shootout in the third quarter as the Red Raiders outscored North 12-10 in the quarter to lead 31-20 heading into the fourth, but the Gators couldn’t make up the deficit and the Red Raiders went on to win, 41-25.
Scoring for the Red Raiders were Jaxon Pruitt with 14 points, Jude Golembiewski with eight points, Landyn Stiefel, Jared Morgan and Warren Simmons with four points apiece, Ryan Abellana with three points and Jack Oliver with two points.
Coffee Middle Basketball will end the regular season at Cannon County on Thursday, Jan. 11.
