RIDNER

Howard Ewin Ridner, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023 at his home at the age of 79. Mr. Ridner was born in Manchester to the late Jim Lee and Minnie Baltimore Ridner. During his life, Howard worked as a General Contractor and owner of Howard Ridner Construction Company, and served as a member of the Army National Guard. He loved his family, and always strived for perfection in everything that he did. He never met a stranger, and helped many people during hard times of their lives. Mr. Ridner loved to work, and if he could help anyone in any way possible, he would make it happen. He loved his antique tractors and cars, watching old Westerns, reading, and also knew the names of every river, and knew where they went. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ridner was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Ridner. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ridner; two sons, Kevin Ridner (Angela), and Derek Ridner (Ashley); one brother, Don Ridner (Sue); two sisters, Mary Lee Uselton, and Carolyn Bonner; and four grandchildren, Cale, Clay, Colt, and Braxton. Visitation for Mr. Ridner was held on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at Kilgore Funeral Home. Funeral services took place Monday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Kilgore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Virgil Alford officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
