Red Raiders defeat Vikings on Senior Night

On Thursday night, the Red Raider Wrestling Team celebrated their senior wrestlers with a win over the Community Vikings.
The senior members honored for Coffee County were Jacob Barlow, Sara Crosslin, Seth Lindsay, Blayne Myers and Sean Sanders.
Against Community, Red Raiders Giddian Mascari, Sean Sanders, Austin Green, Eli McLean, Zachary Warrick, Ian Walker and Kaleb Dodson all won their matches by a fall, Jacob Barlow won his match by a technical fall, Carlos Valle-Martinez won by a decision and Blayne Myers won by a forfeit.
Clayton Centeno, Asher Centeno and Tommy Miller all lost their matches by a fall and Community picked up a forfeit win, but the Red Raiders beat the Vikings, 56-24.
The Red Raider boys also faced the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks.
Against the Red Hawks, Sanders, Barlow, Walker and Myers all won their matches by a fall and Green won his match by a decision.
However, Miller and Dodson lost their matches by a decision, Mascari, Centeno, Valle-Martinez, McLean and Miller lost their matches by a fall and Stewarts Creek picked up a forfeit win en route to a 42-33 win.
For the Red Raider girls, Jianna Bare won the lone match against Community by a fall.
Against Stewarts Creek, Bare along with Ellysia Jennings picked up wins by a fall with Sara Crosslin and Lillee Evans losing their matches by a fall.
On the tiebreaker, the Red Raider girls picked up the win over Stewarts Creek, 13-12.
Coffee County Wrestling will be back on the mats on Saturday, Jan. 13 with the boys taking part in the Admiral Invitational at Franklin High School and the girls participating in the Mountain Top Invitational at St. Andrews-Sewanee.
