On Wednesday, Coffee County senior trapshooter Riley Bellomy signed his letter of intent with Jacksonville University.

“I like everything about them,” said Bellomy. “It’s a nice, small campus and it has more of a cozy, community feel to it, plus they were one of the only colleges I was looking at that had my major and a trapshooting team.”

Bellomy will be majoring in aviation science and he has plans to become an airline pilot in the future.

Throughout his high school years, Bellomy has enjoyed his time with the Coffee County Claybusters, who have participated in the Grand American Championships in recent years.

“It’s always fun when we go up there and shoot,” he said. “It was pretty sweet and that was one of my favorite memories from my time here.”

Riley Bellomy will be joining a very successful Jacksonville University team, which has won 32 SCTP & ACUI National Event/Divisional Championship Titles throughout their history.
