The Coffee County Rural Solid Waste collection event will be Saturday, April 27 at 2180 Murfreesboro Highway.

The event sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation will collect household waste that is corrosive, flammable, toxic or reactive.

These can include household cleaners, paint thinner, paint strippers, pool chemicals, photo processing chemicals, needles and sharps in container, herbicides and pesticides and automotive chemicals like carburetor cleaner, air conditioning refrigerants and starter fluids.

The event will not accept medical waste, explosives or radioactive waste, including smoke detectors.

School, farm, church and business waste is accepted by appointment only. Charges may apply. Call 615-643-3170 for a quote and make an appointment.
