Grayson Ivan Payne, age 6 of Manchester, was killed in an accident on April 29 on Interstate 24.

Payne was born on Aug. 4, 2017, in Winchester, to Savannah Frances Cayton and the late Casey Aleister Payne. Payne was currently attending first grade at College Street Elementary School in Manchester.

The family said in his obituary that Payne enjoyed playing all sports especially basketball and football, riding his bike, going to the park to play, the Manchester Rec Center and the Sparta Playhouse.

In his spare time and on rainy days you could find him watching Sonic the Hedge Hog and spending time with his brother and sister.

Payne attended Gateway Church or City Lights Church with his mom and siblings.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with the funeral following.
