On Friday night, the CCCHS Red Raiders lost 2-0 at Shelbyville in the 3A District 9 Championship Game.
The Golden Eagles would be first on the scoreboard, scoring 21 minutes into the first half to lead 1-0, which they would keep heading into the halftime break.
The Red Raiders had several chances on the offensive end, but they could not find an equalizer in the second half.
With around two minutes left to play, Shelbyville was awarded a penalty kick, which they converted to seal a 2-0 win.
It would be just the second loss of the season for the Red Raiders and only the second time that they were kept scoreless this season with the other time being a 0-0 draw at Shelbyville back on Mar. 14.
The Red Raiders are now 13-2-3 on the season and will continue their postseason run on the road at Ravenwood on Tuesday, May 14 in the Region 6 Semifinals.
