On Saturday, Coffee County Central High School announced that Briggs Haithcock will be the new Boys Soccer Coach starting next season.
Haithcock was a member of the Red Raider Soccer team before graduating from Coffee County in 2019.
This past season, Haithcock joined the coaching staff as an assistant to Head Coach Robert Harper, and the squad enjoyed a record of 13-3-3, ending the season with a 6-0 loss in the Region Semifinals to Ravenwood.
“We appreciate the years of service given by Coach Robert Harper, who will be moving to Gambia, Africa,” said Co-Athletic Director Brad Costello. “We are excited to have Briggs Haithcock transitioning into the Head coach position after a successful stint as an assistant. Coach Haithcock was an integral part of this year’s success and we look forward to seeing how we can continue to grow the soccer program.”
Tryouts for next year’s Red Raider Soccer Team will take place at Raider Academy on June 19-20 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm each day. Free physicals will be offered from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 20 at the CCCHS cafeteria.
