Rose Hill Wins MYBL 6U Championship

On Friday night, Rose Hill Memorial Gardens beat JRL3 Baseball Company 24-23 to win the Manchester Youth Baseball League’s 6U Tournament Championship.

JRL3 Baseball would score twice in the top of the first inning to take the lead early, but Rose Hill would score six times in the bottom of the inning to go on top 6-2.

The score would be knotted up in the top of the second inning as JRL3 scored four runs to make the score 6-6, but Rose Hill doubled their point total in the bottom of the second to go back in front 12-6.

JRL3 would try to chip away at the lead, outscoring Rose Hill 9-7 in the third inning to make it a 19-15 ball game, but Rose Hill outscored them 5-4 over the next two innings to keep a 24-19 lead through five innings of play.

The sixth inning would provide JRL3 with another chance at a comeback, as they scored four runs to pull within one point, but Rose Hill held on for the 24-23 win and the championship title.

Rose Hill Memorial also placed first in the regular season standings. Valley Creek Farms placed second in the standings, but lost in the tournament semifinals to JRL3.

Shelton Concrete also made the tournament semifinals, but lost to Rose Hill.
