Marcrom’s Pharmacy takes 12U title

On Thursday night, July 11, Marcrom’s Pharmacy beat Bush Insurance 11-5 to win the Manchester Youth Baseball League 12U Championship.
In the early going of the championship game, it seemed like it would be Bush Insurance’s time to shine, as they took an early 3-2 lead in the first inning of play.
However, Marcrom’s came fighting right back, tying the score at 3-3 in the top of the second inning, then the team clad in black scored three more runs in the top of the third to take a 6-3 lead.
Bush Insurance could never really seem to find an answer after giving up their first inning lead, and Macrom’s would pile on another five runs in the top of the fifth inning to take an 11-3 advantage, including a two-run homer by Kolton Strickland that sailed over the centerfield fence.
Bush would score two more times in the bottom of the fifth inning, but it would be too little too late for the boys in light blue as Marcrom’s Pharmacy held on to win the game and the championship title.
The two teams also finished 1-2 in the 12U regular season standings.
