VANHOOK
Connie Teresa Vanhook, age 69, of Manchester, passed away on July 9, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born on March 26, 1955, to parents Curtis and Mary Wilson in McMinnville. She is preceded in death by her father, Curtis Wilson; mother, Mary Virginia Rosson Wilson Bryan; husband, Myles Vanhook; and son, Curtis Dale Thomas. She is survived by her sons, John McDaniel, and Forrest (Theresa) Blackburn; sisters, Belinda (Dwayne) Chappell, and Gina Bryan; grandchildren, Amara Blackburn, Chelsey McDaniel, Courtney McDaniel, Joshua McDaniel Madison Smart, Tyler Johnston, Ceygan Thomas, Graycie Thomas, Cayden Thomas, Gage Thomas, Cannan Thomas, and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.After graduating from Coffee County High School, Connie continued her education with an apprentice program in trade school which led to her career at The Arnold Engineering Development Complex as the first female pipe fitter and welder with the company. She was known for her amazing attitude and outlook on life, as well as her wonderful memory; she could recall what siblings and kids an individual had and could climb their entire family tree of relatives. She loved Diet Sundrop, painting/drawing felt art, and lately watching Monday Night WWE Wrestling. Of Connies many passions, she was most fond of her grandchildren. She loved her family and will be deeply missed. Manchester Funeral Home hosted a memorial gathering for friends and family from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.
