Ray Paten Shelton, Jr., age 58, of Manchester passed this life Tuesday, July 30, 2024.  He was born Oct. 7, 1965, in Coffee County, to the late Ray P. Shelton Sr. and Lady Ruth (Haley) Shelton.  In addition to his parents, Ray is also preceded in death by his sister, Angela Haley.  Ray was the owner and operator of Shelton’s Auto Body Shop.  He enjoyed 80’s rock music and classic cars.  Ray listened to sports games on the radio and was a huge fan of the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves. Ray is survived by his daughter, Whitney Shelton (Carlton Hamby); son, Paten Shelton; brother, Jimmy Shelton (Alice); brother, Mike Shelton (Cindy); and two nieces. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.  A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Mr. Dennis Thompson officiating.  Interment followed in the Garden of Devotion, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
