Three local Dems to appear on Nov. 5 ballot

The Coffee County Democratic Party recently announced that three candidates will appear on the Nov. 5 General Election ballot.
A party caucus was held Sept. 8 to name candidates for open county seats.
Candidates Zak Moyhuddin will run for County Commissioner District 2, Jerry L. Brown for County Commissioner District 6 (Hillsboro) and Harley Meyers will run as a write-in candidate for County Constable for Districts 1, 3, 4.
“Our candidates are committed to putting country over party and serving all constituents with integrity,” Coffee County Democratic Party President Mike Stein said. “We believe in taking the ‘weirdness’ out of politics and focusing on practical solutions that benefit everyone in Coffee County.”
The release also announced the official opening of the new Coffee County Democratic Party headquarters located at 506 Hillsboro Blvd., Manchester. The Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.
CCDP headquarters hours are 3-7 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
