Lady Raiders sweep Grundy on Senior Night

On Wednesday night, the Coffee County Central Lady Raiders celebrated their seniors and completed a season sweep of Grundy County at The Patch.
In the pre-game ceremony, the Lady Raiders recognized six seniors, including manager Isabel McInnis and players Addison McCullough, Paisley Campbell, Rileigh Russell, Rylee Clark and Savannah Cooper.
The first set would go the way of Coffee County as the Lady Raiders compiled a 14-9 lead before going on to win 25-12.
Grundy County would find themselves leading 8-3 in the early going of the second set, but Coffee County came back to tie the set at 12-12 before running away 25-14.
The Lady Raiders would complete the sweep in the third set with a 25-16 win.
Rileigh Russell served up seven aces from the service line and put up 11 assists while Danni Hillis led with seven kills for Coffee County.
The win gives Coffee County a season sweep of the Lady Jackets, as the Lady Raiders won at Grundy 3-2 to open the season on Aug. 19 and also won their matchup in the Dream for Weave Southern Slam on Sept. 21.
The Lady Raiders (15-12) will play host to Spring Hill for their regular season finale on Thursday, Oct. 3.
