Charges have been leveled against a man who allegedly opened fire at Deadman Park in Manchester this past month.
The suspect, Alex Zander Underwood, 18, of Beechgrove, has been charged with several counts of aggravated assault along with reckless endangerment, theft and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Manchester police responded to the park after shots rang out. Three victims in the case told officers that they were parked at the park when Underwood got out of his car and began banging on their windows. When one of the men got out to confront him, he was knocked to the ground, prompting the other two to get out to try to break it up. That is when they claim Underwood pulled a 9mm handgun and started firing, four times in the air and one time into the car, shattering the rear driver side window.
Underwood was arrested a short time later at an apartment complex. The gun was found near a gas station in the weeds. The gun was stolen.
