Mrs. Wanda Jean Stedry, age 77, of Manchester, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024 in Manchester. Mrs. Stedry was born in White County, Sparta, to her late parents Joseph Herbert Winnett and Essie Jewel Burgess Winnett. She worked for Delco Electronics “GM” until her retirement. Mrs. Stedry was a member of Manchester First Methodist Church and the Sunshine Women’s Group. She was State Commander for the Disabled Veteran’s Auxiliary from 2006-2007. Mrs. Stedry was a breast cancer survivor, having had breast cancer twice and overcame it. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchild and great grandchildren and she enjoyed her trips to Wyoming. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carless Winnett. Mrs. Stedry is survived by her husband of 56 years, Steven Stedry; daughters, Christy Stedry and Stephanie (Steven) Tracey; grandson, Steven Reid Stedry; great grandsons, Jackson and Jasper Stedry; sisters, Marie (Douglas) Young, Joyce (Gary) Guinn; sister-in-law, Sandra Winnett; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 3, from noon until 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester with funeral services following visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Lee officiating. Entombment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
