The Lady Rockets suffered their second conference loss of the season 39-35 while the Rockets picked up their third straight victory with a 45-40 win at Community on Thursday night.

The Lady Rockets got off to a slow start, as the Viqueens outscored them 12-5 in the opening quarter, but Westwood fought back in the second quarter to slim Community’s lead to 17-13 at the half.

Westwood whittled the Viqueen lead down to 26-25 at the end of the third, but Community battled back in the fourth to win the game 39-35.

The Lady Rockets fall to 9-5 on the season with a 6-2 record in DRVC play.

Westwood Rockets

The Westwood Rockets hung on for a 45-40 win over Community for their third consecutive win of the season.

With the win, the Rockets improve to 8-6 on the season with a 6-2 record in conference play.

Westwood basketball will go on a short break before returning on Monday, Dec. 2 for Eighth Grade Night against Cascade.
