Raiders open season with dual win at Antioch

The CCHS wrestling team opened their regular season slate with a 54-18 victory over Antioch on Wednesday night.
Aiden Lindsay (138 pounds), Eli Mclean (150 pounds), William Barlow (157 pounds), Andrew Miller (165 pounds), Zachary Warrick (175 pounds) and Zander Warrick (190 pounds) all picked up wins by a fall in their respective weight classes.
Cameron Kerr (113 pounds) and Giddian Mascari (120 pounds) won both of their individual matches by a forfeit and Joel Cruz-Martinez (215 pounds) won after his opponent, Noah Gatti, was disqualified.
Carlos Valle-Martinez (144 pounds) and Tanner Vernon (285 pounds) lost both of their matches by a fall and the Red Raiders forfeited the 132 pound division, but Coffee County still won in decisive fashion over the Bears, 54-18.
Both teams chose to forfeit the 106 and 126 pound weight classes.
In exhibition matches, Clayton Centeno (138 pounds), Layne Hines (150 pounds) and Cody Newland (157 pounds) all won by a fall with Emmanuel Rodriguez (157 pounds) winning on a 24-6 technical fall and Ethan Greer (285 Pounds) winning in a 9-0 major decision.
Coffee County’s next meet is scheduled to take place at Riverdale along with Cane Ridge and Cascade on Friday, Dec. 6 starting at 6 p.m.
