RACKLEY
Paulette Rackley, age 85, of Manchester, went to be with her heavenly Father Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024. She was born May 30, 1939 in Coffee County, to the late Dillard and Alice (Riddle) Jarrell. In addition to her parents, Paulette is also preceded in death by her husband, Cordell Rackley; and brothers, James “Benton” Jarrell and Roy “Dale” Jarrell. Paulette is a longtime member of Summitville First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful seamstress who could sew anything. Paulette sewed all her girl’s clothing when they were younger and made the best banana pudding. She is remembered by her family as a loving mother and faithful wife who took care of everyone. Paulette is survived by her sons, Donald Wayne Rackley (Jovella) and Bobby Joe Rackley (Cindy); daughter, Barbara Lane Clark (Kenneth); grandchildren, Sherra Singleton, Lucinda Wade, Melisha Barrett, and Kimberly Grace Gooney; great grandchildren, Bryan Wade (Shannon), Issac Rackley, Zachery Bowling, Sabrina Duke (Dustin), Madaline Gooney, Rhealee Barrett, and Corwinn Barrett; siblings, Billy Lee Jerrell (Linda), Coy Gale Jarrell (Sandra), Joyce Annette Miller, and Margret Louise Clutts; and several nieces and nephews. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Manchester Funeral Home. A funeral service was held in the chapel at 1 p.m. with Brother Mark Smithey officiating. Interment followed at Summitville Cemetery.
