Later Gators! CCMS sweeps North in CTC Semifinals

On Tuesday night in Tullahoma, the Lady Raiders dominated in a 53-14 win over the Gatorettes at East Middle School while the Red Raiders picked up a 37-19 victory over the Gators at West Middle School.
CCMS Lady Raiders: 53, North Franklin Gatorettes: 14
Being the #1 seed in the girls’ tournament, the Coffee County Lady Raiders were looking for their third victory of the season over North after taking a first round bye.
The Lady Raiders got off to a quick start, outscoring North 17-7 in the first quarter and holding the Gatorettes to just three points in the second quarter to help build a halftime lead of 30-10.
Coffee County would allow only four points to the Gatorettes in the second half and go on to win the game 53-14.
With the win, the Lady Raiders will play #3 South Franklin in the CTC Championship Game.

CCMS Red Raiders: 37, North Franklin Gators: 19
After a dominant first round win over #7 seed Warren County on Monday, the #2 seed Red Raiders were looking to punch their ticket to the CTC Championship Game with a win over #6 seed North.
The Red Raiders controlled the first half, outscoring the Gators 8-7 in the first quarter and 9-4 in the second to lead 17-11 entering halftime.
Coffee County’s defense would allow only eight points over the final two quarters to North, and the Red Raiders would win 37-19 to advance to the CTC Championship Game.
The Red Raiders will be joined by #4 seed Harris in the Championship Game after the Eagles took down #1 seed Tullahoma West 42-40 in the other semifinal game.
