Mrs. Sally Ann Ashburn Wells Herriman, age 88, of Manchester, passed from this life Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, in McMinnville. Sally Ann Ashburn was born in the backroom of a service station on Nov. 10, 1936, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. A few years later her family moved to a dairy farm in Thompson Hall in Coffee County. Her only and surviving sister Kleda Ashburn Brooks was born soon after the move. She graduated from Central High School in Manchester and was a lifelong member of Hillsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Herriman was a much-loved teacher’s aide for the Warren County School System and a substitute teacher for the Coffee County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven aunts and uncles and five cousins. Mrs. Herriman is survived by her husband, Logan Demier Herriman; sister Kleda (Bill) Brooks; sons Al (Dee) Wells, Don (Lynn) Wells, Dexter (Lisa) Wells; six fabulous grandchildren; 14 spectacular great grandchildren; and four cousins, Annelle, Carol, Nancy and Nita.  Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. All services will be held at Hillsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church,12 Stephenson Road, Hillsboro, TN 37342.
