The Coffee County Lady Raider softball team extended their winning streak to four games last week after three thorough victories over Siegel, Spring Hill and Gordonsville.

March 11 Vs Siegel

The Lady Raiders took a big lead in the first inning and never wavered in a 10-1 home win over the Siegel Stars on Tuesday night.

Center fielder Jalyn Moran and starting pitcher Lily Norman provided some early fireworks on offense; Moran crushing a solo home run to center field in Coffee County’s first at-bat and Norman smacking a three-run homer to left field to put the Lady Raiders up 4-0.

Two singles by Kyndal Bolden and Taylor McBride in the bottom of the third inning sent Cara Newlin and Harper Jernigan home to increase Coffee County’s lead to 6-0.

The Stars would finally get on the board in the top of the fifth on a solo home run by Auburn Karls, but that would be Siegel’s only score of the night.

Coffee County piled on another four runs in the bottom half of the fifth and held on for a 10-1 win.

Norman picked up her fourth win in as many starts in the pitcher’s circle, striking out nine batters, walking one batter and committing just one error in seven innings.
