LANGFORD
Paul Clay Langford, age 81, went to be with his Lord on March 19, 2025. He was born in Gallatin, on May 8, 1943 to his parents, Mattie Sue Gregory Langford and Fletcher Hollis Langford. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Langford. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rebecca Bramblett Langford and daughter, Kathleen Roper (Travis), and his sister, Dowe Langford Jones. In addition, he had two beloved granddaughters, Kara Roper and Callie Roper; several dear nieces, nephews and their families, cousins, and friends. Paul graduated from Coffee County Central High in 1961. He truly had Red Raider pride playing basketball and football, and he enjoyed reminiscing about those years, especially the Tobacco Bowl in which the Raider football team defeated Carthage. He attended MTSU but became a licensed electrician after completing a 5 year apprenticeship through the IBEW. He worked construction in many different places before accepting a job at Arnold Center as a test facility craftsman. Paul was always on the go and enjoyed traveling as well as being outdoors. He had an innate sense of rhythm and loved music of many different genres. He always wanted to be with his family, as they were very important to him. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church in Manchester. He loved the Lord and was always willing to help others. He was a 50 year, 32nd degree Mason and belonged to Highland Lodge 214 in Manchester. Our family wants to thank the wonderful care given to Paul throughout his journey with Alzheimer’s to Aveanna Home Health, Gentiva Hospice, and Bailey Manor staff, as well as caregiver, Penny Wright, and friend, Jim Bramblett. Graveside services were held Saturday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, with Dr. Brenton Cox officiating with burial immediately to follow.
