Michael E. Wells “Head”, 72, of Manchester, passed away on March 21, 2025. He was born in Manchester, to his parents Alvin and Lela Wells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and Charles, sisters Inez Jones and Imugene Allison, and father-in-law R.L. Sherrill.

Mr Wells is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Wanda, sons Jason (Angela) Wells of Hillsboro, Lucas (Tammy) Wells of Manchester, grandchildren Dakota (MaKayla) Barnes, Branson Wells, Dawson Wells, Cayden Wells, Jaxson Wells, Kylee Wells, and Kynlee Wells. Great-grandchildren Sydney Barnes and Walker Barnes. Brothers Cloys Wells and Howard (Gayle) Wells, sister Ruth Ann Callahan, mother-in-law Lila Sherrill, brothers-in-law Dwight Sherrill and Allen (Tammy) Sherrill, and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was a lifelong farmer who farmed alongside his wife Wanda and son Lucas on their half century farm in Hillsboro. Michael was also a truck driver for many years. He was a team driver with his wife and best friend Wanda for 25 years. They enjoyed traveling the country together, seeing 48 states and Canada while trucking, stopping along the way to see and experience lots of great places and things together. Michael was a wonderful, loving husband, Daddy, Pa, brother, father-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed every day. There are no services planned at this time.
