The CCCHS softball team had four players receive postseason honors this past week, not only earning some recognition amongst the best players in Tennessee, but a little bit of regional attention as well.
Paisley Campbell, the 4A District 9 MVP, was named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State Team. Campbell, who played catcher for the Lady Raiders, finished her senior season with the team lead in home runs (10), RBIs (44) and doubles (12).
Campbell, who is signed on to play college softball with UT Martin, also made The Tennessean’s All-Midstate Team, joining teammate and pitcher Lily Norman. Norman won 18 of her 26 starts in the circle last year, earning eight shutouts and having a solid year at the plate with five home runs, 20 RBIs and four doubles.
Norman also joined outfielder Jalyn Moran and designated player Taylor McBride on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team for Region VII, which features players from Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina.
Moran, who will be playing college softball with Motlow State, finished her senior season at Coffee County with two home runs, 18 RBIs, six doubles, seven stolen bases and a team-leading three triples.
McBride is coming off of a sophomore campaign where she had nine RBIs, three doubles and a single stolen base.
