Manchester city has announced Wednesday it will sell off the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center’s stock of wedding and event decor at an on-site sale July 12 at 7 a.m.   

“As we move forward with a realignment of the Conference Center, we will no longer be offering in-house catering or event decor. This is in line with industry standards and is much more cost-effective,” Mayor Joey Hobbs said in a release. 

Current contracts for an event with the center will be honored as written, the announcement said. 

Sale proceeds will go to offset the incurred debt of the Manchester Public Building Authority, according to the city.
