The 42nd annual Sportsmen and Businessmen Charitable Organization main fundraiser will be held from 5:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center.
“Forty-two events later, we find ourselves in the current day, and we continue to get great support for the Sportsmen Event from the community,” SBCO President Carter Sain said.
The event will feature silent and live auctions with high end items, plus live entertainment by 90-Proof Bluegrass and Michael Childers. Dress is best-jeans and boots.
Event will feature a reverse raffle for a $5,000 grand prize. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100. The winner will be awarded at 9 p.m. Donations are tax deductible.
“We continue to see a need for our organization in the community,” Sain said.
SBCO recently approved over 60 educational mini-grants among the three school districts for a total of $40,000.
“We continue to help folks in need. It remains a blessing and a surprise to us that we are a needed and a supported organization,” Sain said.
“You kind of wish that you didn’t have any problems in the community—that everybody had all they needed, but that’s just not the case,” he said.
