Local singer/songwriter Macy Tabor won the 2025 Fan’s Choice Award for Independent Artist at the Josie Music Awards that were held at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Sunday, Nov. 2. Out of nearly 86,000 submissions, only 2.8% artists received a nomination.  Tabor was nominated for six awards this year including Modern Country Female Vocalist of the Year, Modern Country Female Artist of the Year, for three Songwriter’s Achievement Awards for songs that she wrote titled “Bitch Switch,”  “Cowboy Killer” and “Livin Proof.”  The Fan’s Choice Award is based on fan submissions and nominations for the work, talent, and dedication to the artistry of an Artist. The Josie Music Awards are the largest Music Awards Show for Independent Artist in the world.
