JACKSON, Tenn. – A man has died after a shooting on the campus of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee Saturday night, police said.

The Jackson Police Department (JPD) responded to Orchard Hall on the college campus at 11 p.m. 

Police found a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

JPD said officers detained one person in connection with the shooting.

Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. They are not seeking any additional suspects, and no other students were injured.
