The Coffee County tennis team welcomed Lincoln County to Raider Academy for a match Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Raiders came up short in a tight one, falling 4-3. The Lady Raiders were unable to pick up a win in a 7-0 loss.

Boys’ singles wins for Coffee County included Alfonso Cornejo, who won 8-5 over Grant Quick. Christian Galindo also won 8-6 over Cade Kimbrough in his match.

In boys’ doubles, the team of Ethan Hayes and Colin Bryant won 8-4 over the team of Zaki Lin and Isaiah Marcs.

After three straight home matches, Coffee County returns to the road to take on Columbia at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The match will be held at Columbia’s Woodland Park.
