Rec Center courts undergoing floor repairs

The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department announced via a social media post that the Rec Center basketball courts will be closed starting Monday, March 30 for floor repairs.
Parts of the floor will be removed and replaced and then the entire floor will be sanded, painted and resurfaced. The project is expected to take four weeks.
The post explains that the floors were just recently repaired after issues with a water pipe, but due to high humidity levels when the Center’s air conditioning unit was malfunctioning, the floors needed to be repaired again.
According to the Recreation Department, funding for the repairs will come mostly from insurance with the rest being covered by the Rec Center budget.
“Thank you for your patience through this process as we work to improve our facility for our guests,” the department posted. “We still have many other amenities such as the wellness room and pool open during this time!”
