Kelsie Parks Adams announces run for Coffee County Circuit Court Clerk

Kelsie Parks Adams announced her run for Coffee County Circuit Court Clerk. Her announcement follows as submitted: As the May 5th Republican Primary approaches, Kelsie Parks Adams continues her campaign for Circuit Court Clerk, centering her message on the core values of Accuracy, Accountability, and Approachable leadership.

With over 18 years of experience in the Coffee County justice system, Adams brings firsthand knowledge of the daily operations and challenges within the courts. She currently serves as a Child Support Enforcement Specialist with the District Attorney’s Office, working directly with both the Circuit and Chancery Courts.

“I see every day where delays happen and how staffing instability affects the system,” Adams said. “I’m not guessing at the issues—I’m working in them. I’m running because I have the experience to help improve how the office functions from the inside out.”

Restoring Stability to the Justice System A central focus of Adams’ campaign is restoring stability and professionalism to the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office. She points to significant turnover in recent years as a major concern that has impacted efficiency and institutional knowledge.

“When an office experiences high turnover, you lose experience, consistency, and accuracy,” Adams said. “We cannot have a strong court system without a stable and supported team.”

Adams also credits her educational background in Social Work as a key strength. As an honors graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, she studied ethics, human behavior, and systems management.

“At its core, social work is about understanding people and strengthening systems,” she explained. “That experience prepares me to address internal challenges, support staff, and build a healthier workplace culture.”

Commitment to Presence and Accessibility Adams is also emphasizing the importance of leadership presence and public accountability.

“For a $110,000-a-year publicly funded position, the citizens of Coffee County deserve a Clerk who is present, available, and engaged every day,” Adams said. “My commitment is to lead with an open door—for both the public and the staff who keep the office running.”

Experience and Local Roots Adams began her career in 2007 as a Youth Services Officer before transitioning to her current role in the District Attorney’s Office. Her background includes crisis management, court coordination, and system-level organization.

She is a fourthgeneration Coffee Countian and the daughter of Steve Parks, former Road Superintendent, and Dianne Parks, a retired educator of 37 years. Adams and her husband of 21 years, Bradley, live in the community and are raising their two children with a strong commitment to faith and service. The family attends Lumbley Stand Church of Christ.

Looking Ahead Adams encourages voters to learn more about her campaign and vision for the office.

“My goal is simple,” she said. “To bring stability, accuracy, and accountability back to the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.’
