Local artist Becky Buller is one of the featured artists on the recent release of the song “Bound to Ride” by Dolly Parton and the First Ladies of Bluegrass.

The song, provided to YouTube by Compass Records, also features Alison Brown, Sierra Hull, Missy Raines and Molly Tuttle.

Buller said that Unfortunately, they didn’t get to create in-studio with Dolly. but were told she was game to join us on the project, but we had to guess which key and hope that our arrangement suited her.

“And she ran with it!” Buller said.

“Dolly was so generous and giving to the last. Her sound engineer told us she asked for all our names and how to pronounce them correctly, then she proceeded to bless us during each of our instrumental solos. It’s literally other-worldly to hear Dolly’s jubilant voice on this cut,” Buller said.

The release is part of a larger tribute to The Stanley Brothers, who are being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame next month.
