Police said both people had been drinking when the fight began over what was being watched on a phone.

Vonore Police Officer Brandon Watkins said he went to a home on Barnes Lane on a domestic call around 8 p.m. and talked to a man who said he was looking at women on his phone when his wife, Mariah Kiser, became angry and started assaulting him.

The man said Kiser was trying to punch him in the face and he blocked her punches, but she still hit him on the wrists. Watkins said the man did have red marks on his wrist and neck.

Watkins then talked to Kiser who said the man was watching pornography on his phone and they started arguing. She said she did try to hit him in the face, but didn’t make contact.

Watkins said both of them appeared to have been drinking and the incident happened in front of an 11 month old and a three year old, who were taken to an aunt’s house.

Kiser, 22, was arrested and charged with domestic assault.
