MEMPHIS, Tenn. –  An investigation is underway after a woman was pronounced dead in Whitehaven Saturday morning, the Memphis Police Department said.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of East Holmes Road just after 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to MPD, the woman was dead on the scene.
