Man accused of killing West Tennessee family to appear in court
LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. — A man accused of killing four West Tennessee family members will face a judge Tuesday morning, records show.
Records show that Austin Drummond is facing four first-degree murder charges along with other violent offenses. There are two separate cases as some of the charges stem from when he was in prison for a previous robbery.
Authorities had previously said Drummond shot and killed four people in the woods near the Tiptonville prison, where he was once housed. He could be sentenced to death, if convicted.

FOX13 has learned that Drummond was moved out of Obion County jail and into a Department of Corrections facility in November. The move came after the state and jail leaders said the 29-year-old was being disruptive in custody; in one instance, Obion County jailers said he put feces on his cell door window, causing safety concerns and disruptions.
