‘One of the most prolific drivers’ of crime in city arrested, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man the Memphis Police Department described as “one of the most prolific drivers of crime in our city” was arrested by the department’s Fugitive Unit Wednesday.

19-year-old Keymon Bledsoe, whom MPD said is a “documented gang member” with a “lengthy and violent criminal history” was arrested by the Fugitive Unit on Wednesday, the department said.

Memphis Police said Bledsoe had active warrants for:

  • Robbery
  • Theft of property $10,000-$60,000
  • Theft of property $2,500-$10,000
  • Petition to revoke a suspended sentence
  • Convicted felon in possession of a weapon
  • Theft of a firearm
  • Evading arrest in an automobile
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Resisting official detention
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Reckless driving
  • Moving an unregistered vehicle on a highway
  • Driving with a suspended/canceled/revoked license
  • Violation of financial law
  • Speeding

“This is what our Fugitive Unit does,” MPD said. “We will continue taking violent criminals and the worst of the worst off our streets to protect our community.”
