A twin-engine propeller airplane has crashed June 8 in Tullahoma near the Beechcraft Museum with 20 people on board.

Tullahoma City Administrator David Quick said in a press conference Sunday evening that the Transportation Safety Board will be taking over the investigation, citing an unknown issue as causing the crash shortly after take off.

Three people on board the skydiving plane, a DeHaviland DH-6 Twin Otter, were air lifted from the scene, and four are being treated at Vanderbilt Harton Hospital.

The FAA is on the scene. Area first responders have shifted to a support role for federal personnel on the scene.
