RACKLEY

Linda Fay Rackley, age 78, of Manchester went to be with her heavenly father, Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025.  She was born September 23, 1946 in Tennessee to the late Clara Mae (Barnes) West.  In addition to her mother, Linda is also preceded in death by her husband Jo Edd Rackley; brother, Roy West; and sisters, Jeanette Murphy and Jackie West; and great-grandson, Dakota Cook. Linda was a longtime member of New Haven Baptist Church and worked for many years at Tennessee Apparel.  She also ran the kitchen at the Stock Barn for five years. Linda enjoyed birdwatching and bead working.  She was a loving wife to her late husband, Joe Edd Rackley, and a loving mother and grandmother.  She really enjoyed watching her grandchildren while her children were working and took pride in helping to raise each one. Linda is survived by her children, Kelly Rollins (Dale) and Patty Dickson (Scott); brother, J.L. West (Dorothy); grandchildren, Nikki Cook, Joseph Cook (Angela), Cameron Rollins, Mikayla Dickson, Travis Dickson (Sydney), and Lindsey Dickson; great grandchildren, Shiane Gilbert, Kaleb Jones, Dayton Cook, Landon Cook, and Charlotte Jean Dickson. The family received friends from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon – 1 p.m. Thursday at Manchester Funeral Home.  A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Jimmy Kesey officiating.  Interment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
