On Tuesday night, the Coffee Middle Red Raiders defeated the Harris Eagles 40-30 in the 3A Area 6 Semifinals, punching their ticket to the Area Championship Game.

After beating Harris twice in the regular season and once in the CTC Championship Game, the Area Semifinals win gives Coffee County their fourth victory of the season against the Eagles.

Before the game, the Red Raiders honored their eighth grade members in a pregame ceremony.

The first half would be a close, low-scoring battle that saw Coffee County outscore Harris 12-11 over the first two quarters.

Offense would pick up after the halftime break as the Red Raiders outscored the Eagles 18-10 in the third quarter and 10-9 in the fourth to win the game 40-30 and advance to the Area Championship.

The win also improves the Red Raiders’ season record to 18-4.
