WELLS

Mrs. Rosa Mae Agan Wells, age 90, of Winchester, TN, passed from this life Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Bailey Manor in Winchester. Mrs. Wells was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to her late parents William Clarence Agan and Tommie Mae Dean Coker Agan. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Manchester and Cowan Baptist Church in Cowan, for many years where she was involved in both churches teaching Sunday School and helping with various events. Mrs. Wells married her loving husband, Gale Wells in 1950 and they were married for 72 years. She worked as a dental office manager for Dr. Ben Spaulding for 31 years until her retirement. Mrs. Wells was a charter member of the Manchester Arts Commission since ca. 1969 and was instrumental in its formation. The Manchester City Police awarded Mrs. Wells the Most Courteous Woman Driver Award and was a proud recipient. After retirement, she and her husband volunteered at the Voting Center for early voting for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed flowers and gardening, quilting, painting, and loved her pets. She also loved cooking and having her family over for family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gale Wells, and son, Danny Wells. Mrs. Wells is survived by a son, Perry (Jan) Wells; daughter, Jania Collins; daughter-in-law, Pauletta Wells; sister, Linda Sue Harris; grandchildren, Ben Wells, Nick Wells, Nathan Wells, Erin Wells, Micah Wells, Coty Gregory, and Cole Frazier; several great grandchildren. Visitation were held Thursday, Dec. 26, from noon until 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Bro. LZ Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma.
