CCMS splits non-conference matchup with Stewarts Creek

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders improved to 16-0 with a dominant 61-14 win over the Lady Falcons while the Red Raiders fell 24-21 to the Falcons on Tuesday night in Manchester.
CCMS Lady Raiders: 61, Stewarts Creek Lady Falcons: 14
The Lady Raiders were looking to continue their perfect regular season record with a non-conference win over the Lady Falcons.
Coffee County would race out to a big lead in the first half, outscoring Stewarts Creek 30-11.
The Lady Raider defense would be even stingier in the second half, allowing only three points over the final two quarters for a 61-14 win in which every player for Coffee County scored.
With the win, the Lady Raiders remain undefeated with a 16-0 overall record.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders were eyeing their fourth consecutive win.
The game started out well enough, as the Red Raiders outscored the Falcons 7-6 in the first quarter, but the Falcons held Coffee County to just two points in the second quarter to take a 12-9 lead into halftime.
Stewarts Creek would outscore Coffee County 6-4 in the third quarter, and the Red Raiders would outscore the Falcons 8-6 in the fourth, but the Falcons held on for the low-scoring win, 24-21.
With the loss, the Red Raiders fall to 13-3 on the regular season.
