Moran signs on with Motlow

On Thursday afternoon, CCHS senior softball player Jalyn Moran signed her letter of intent with Motlow State Community College.

Moran hasn’t completely decided on a major, but says that she is currently leaning towards psychology. She also expressed her excitement for meeting new people and getting to know her college teammates better.

“I’m excited for the experience,” she said. “I can’t wait to meet new people and get to know my teammates, where they’re from and their backgrounds.”

Having played catcher and outfielder for the Lady Raiders, Moran believes that she will fit in nicely with the team at Motlow.

“I think I’ll be a pretty good fit with them,” she said. “I’ve played with them before, they’re some pretty good athletes and they seem to have great attitudes.”

With one more year of high school softball left, Moran wants to go out on a high note with her Lady Raider teammates.

“This year, I would really like for us to make it to state,” she said. “It will take a lot of work for us to get there, but I want to go to state and I want to win.”
