On Tuesday, the Coffee Middle wrestling team placed second in the AA Area 4 Dual Tournament held at Warren County High School, punching their ticket to the Section 2 Tournament.

The Red Raiders beat Prescott 66-24 in the quarterfinals, then defeated Tullahoma 48-39 in the semifinals to advance to the Championship Dual against host Warren County.

Coffee County would lose to Warren 57-25, placing them second in the tournament.

Jaidin Uselton, Tripp Trussler, Andrew Boles and Joshua Mainville Jr. all went undefeated in the three individual matches they wrestled in.

The Coffee County middle wrestling team will return for the AA Section 2 Tournament on Dec. 6-7, which will also be held at Warren County High School.

The boys sectional will still be held in the dual format on Friday, Dec. 6 and the girl’s tournament will be an individual tournament on Saturday, Dec. 7.
