Westwood splits conference road trip at Cascade

On Thursday night, the Lady Rockets kept their perfect conference record alive with a 39-37 win, but the Rockets suffered their first conference loss of the year 61-48 at Cascade.

The Lady Rockets had the edge through most of the game, holding a 29-13 lead entering the fourth quarter, but the Lady Champions battled back in the fourth to take a 37-36 lead in the final moments.
However, the Lady Rockets would not be denied victory, as Jerzee Ferrell hit a game-winning three pointer as time expired to give Westwood a 39-37 win.
The win keeps Westwood’s conference record perfect at 4-0 and improves their overall season record to 7-2.

Westwood Rockets
Cascade proved to be a tough challenge for the Rockets, as the Champions raced out to a 34-12 lead after the first half.
Westwood tried to chip away in the second half, even outscoring the Champions 23-15 in the final quarter, but the early hole dug by the Rockets proved to be too deep, as the Champions trotted away with a 61-48 victory.
With the loss, the Rockets fall to a 5-4 overall record and a 3-1 record in DRVC play.
