Abiose places second in State High Jump

On Saturday, Coffee County Middle School’s Naomi Abiose placed second in the Division AA Girl’s High Jump event at the TMSAA State Championship Meet in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Abiose jumped a height of 4 feet, 11 inches in the event; just an inch lower than event winner Traya Hamilton of White Station.
In the battle for third place, Kaia Biro of John Sevier Middle, Chidinma Nnodu of Sunset, McKenzie Mangan of West Wilson, Finlee Taylor of Sullivan Central and Gabrielle Gulstrom of West Collierville each jumped a height of 4 feet, 10 inches.
Abiose was the lone representative for Coffee County at the TMSAA State Meet, having placed first in each high jump event of the season that she appeared in leading up to the State event.
